This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 Sun Belt Football Championship Game, determining the champion of the Sun Belt Conference for the 2026 college football season, currently scheduled for December 4, 2026. If this championship is postponed after December 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other." If multiple teams are declared co-champions, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the Sun Belt Conference (https://sunbelt.org); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**The 2026 Sun Belt title race features unusual parity after major roster turnover and coaching transitions across the league’s top programs.** James Madison enters as the preseason East favorite under new head coach Billy Napier, but significant portal losses from its 2025 CFP squad create uncertainty despite strong returning talent. Old Dominion and Marshall project as close challengers in the East, while the West division shows a tight cluster among Troy, Louisiana, Arkansas State, and newcomer Louisiana Tech. Preseason coaches polls and projection models highlight no dominant team, with most contenders projected for similar win totals and conference records. This balance, combined with the division format sending division winners to the title game, keeps implied probabilities tightly bunched and reflects the wisdom of crowds pricing in high outcome variance typical of Group of Six conferences with limited continuity.
