Purdue, Illinois, and Penn State sit near the top of trader-implied probabilities alongside Ohio State and Nebraska, reflecting recent momentum from improved records, coaching continuity, and favorable early schedules that keep several teams in realistic contention. Traditional powers like Oregon and Michigan carry lower shares amid defensive rebuilds and tougher non-conference tests, while the conference’s overall parity—driven by expanded membership, transfer dynamics, and injury risks—prevents any single squad from dominating consensus views ahead of the season opener.
