Justin Jefferson enters the 2026 NFL season coming off a down year of 84 receptions and 1,048 yards amid quarterback instability with J.J. McCarthy and others. The addition of Kyler Murray at quarterback has fueled optimism for a rebound, highlighted by strong chemistry and highlight-reel catches in late August training camp practices. As the clear top option in Minnesota's receiving corps alongside Jordan Addison and newcomer Jauan Jennings, Jefferson benefits from an anticipated uptick in passing volume and efficiency, though target competition and Murray's scrambling style could moderate his catch totals relative to his early-career peaks above 100 receptions per season. The Vikings open against Green Bay on September 13 with a full 17-game slate ahead.
