The defending title contenders benefit from home support and squad depth despite confirmed absences for Sandy Walsh, Gakuto Notsuda, and Luciano Guaycochea. PSM Makassar, coming off a near-relegation finish the prior season, face a tough away test under new coach Darije Kalezic with several foreign debutants and a need to rebuild cohesion. Historical head-to-head trends show Persib dominating at home, while both sides' attacking setups in a season-opening fixture lower the chance of a goalless start. Trader consensus reflects these situational edges in the implied probabilities.
