The 2026 Chinese Super League remains tightly contested for third place, with a cluster of clubs separated by just a handful of points after 24–26 matches. Chengdu Rongcheng sits clear at the top, but the chase behind features Dalian Yingbo, Beijing Guoan, Qingdao West Coast, Shandong Taishan, Yunnan Yukun, and Shanghai Port all within striking distance, their positions fluid due to inconsistent results and several points deductions handed to Beijing Guoan, Shandong Taishan, Shanghai Shenhua, Henan, and Tianjin Jinmen Tiger. Recent high-scoring fixtures and momentum swings following the earlier World Cup break have kept mid-table form volatile, while promoted sides like Chongqing Tonglianglong and Liaoning Tieren add further unpredictability to the standings. Trader pricing reflects this parity, with no single side establishing a decisive edge in the race for the final top-three spot.
