Early results in the 2026–27 SuperSport HNL have produced an unusually open title race after the first five to six matchdays. Varaždin sits atop the table on 13 points, Osijek follows closely on 12, and Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split are level on 10, with Rijeka and others within striking distance. No side has established consistent dominance, and the points are distributed more evenly than in recent seasons when Dinamo typically pulled clear. This parity, combined with a full 36-game schedule still ahead and the possibility of mid-season form swings or European distractions for the bigger clubs, keeps multiple teams viable in traders’ eyes and compresses the implied probabilities into a tight cluster around 47–50 percent.
