Aryna Sabalenka enters as the two-time defending champion and top seed with the highest implied probability, though her 2026 hard-court results show recent vulnerabilities after early-season dominance including the Sunshine Double. Coco Gauff sits second in trader consensus on the strength of her Cincinnati title and consistent deep runs, leveraging superior movement and home-crowd support at Flushing Meadows. Iga Swiatek has regained hard-court form with a Toronto victory but trails in seeding and recent major consistency. Elena Rybakina’s ankle concerns and Jessica Pegula’s steady results add depth, while younger players like Mirra Andreeva introduce variance in a field where multiple contenders maintain realistic paths through the draw.
