The 2026-27 Primeira Liga campaign remains in its opening weeks, with limited matches played and no team yet establishing a dominant defensive edge. Trader consensus reflects this uncertainty through tightly clustered implied probabilities, as mid-table sides such as Famalicão, Braga, Vitória de Guimarães, Santa Clara, and others sit near the top of the market alongside the traditional powers. Porto’s early results show the league’s stingiest defense so far, but its high-possession style and European commitments introduce variability over 34 rounds. Historically, organized mid-table units often accumulate the most clean sheets by prioritizing compact structures and set-piece resilience rather than chasing results. Squad depth, injury timing to key defenders or goalkeepers, and fixture congestion will likely determine which back line sustains shutouts longest in a season defined by parity.
