The tightly bunched implied probabilities for second place in the Liga MX Apertura 2026 reflect an open race behind early leader Club América, with several clubs separated by just a handful of points after the opening weeks. Current tabla general positioning shows América clear at the top on 16 points from six matches, while Toluca, Tijuana, Atlas, Guadalajara, and others sit within striking distance on 10–13 points, creating multiple pathways for teams to climb into the runner-up spot through improved results or favorable scheduling. Recent developments such as Atlante’s mixed start, Monterrey’s attacking output, and ongoing roster adjustments at clubs like Tigres UANL and Cruz Azul keep the consensus fluid, as does the absence of a dominant side pulling away after the post-World Cup calendar reset. Historical patterns of mid-season surges and the remaining 11-plus matchdays further support trader expectations of continued volatility in the chase for second.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
