The early stages of the 2026-27 Liga MX Apertura keep the race for most assists wide open, with numerous playmakers sharing closely bunched implied probabilities. Creative midfielders and wingers such as Lucas Ocampos, Richard Ledezma, Ramiro Árciga, and others enter with comparable roles in build-up play, set-piece delivery, and chance creation, while team attacking styles and preseason form have yet to produce clear separation. Historical assist records, positional versatility, and fixture difficulty further balance expectations across candidates, leaving the field competitive until consistent minutes and statistical trends emerge over the opening jornadas.
