Early in the 2026-27 La Liga season, a tight race for the most clean sheets stems from competitive early defensive showings by several clubs, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athletic Club, Osasuna, and Alavés among those posting shutouts in the opening weeks. Jan Oblak at Atlético Madrid enters with strong historical consistency and a solid start, while Joan García at Barcelona benefits from his side’s dominant early form and low goals conceded. Thibaut Courtois, Unai Simón, and others like Sergio Herrera face similar opportunities amid balanced fixtures and limited sample sizes, where team defensive organization, schedule congestion, and potential injuries will shape long-term tallies. Trader pricing reflects this parity, with no clear frontrunner after just a handful of matchweeks.
