The tight clustering of implied probabilities around 44-51% for teams like Borussia Mönchengladbach, Augsburg, Mainz, Freiburg, and others reflects a Bundesliga season still in its opening weeks, where no side has established clear defensive dominance. Historical trends favor clubs such as Dortmund, which led the prior campaign with 15 clean sheets and the lowest goals conceded, while promoted sides like Schalke, Elversberg, and Paderborn face steeper challenges adapting to top-flight pace and have already shown vulnerabilities in early fixtures. Recent results, including Schalke's 0-0 draw with Bayern and clean sheets from Freiburg and Mainz, underscore how squad depth, goalkeeper form, and set-piece organization can shift momentum quickly. Mid-table sides with strong recent defensive records compete closely with title contenders, as injuries, fixture congestion, and tactical adjustments keep outcomes fluid through the long campaign.
