The bunched probabilities for the 2026-27 Primeira Liga runner-up reflect deep uncertainty among the traditional Big Three—FC Porto, Sporting CP, and Benfica—over which side will finish second behind the eventual champion. Porto enters as defending champions with notable squad stability under Francesco Farioli, while Sporting has undergone major roster turnover yet posted a strong early record (13 points from five matches). Benfica, under new manager Marco Silva, has invested heavily but trails slightly after four games. Historical dominance by these clubs, combined with pre-season projections showing narrow title margins and limited realistic challengers like Braga or Famalicão, sustains competitive parity and evenly distributed trader sentiment across the group.
